The Infantry - Uniforms of the Reserve Regiments (Cont'd)


Elftes Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment



The cadre wore the uniform of the 2nd Silesian Infantry Regiment, but the men when they joined were given a light grey uniform with yellow collar patches and a grey Schirmutze with a yellow cap band. Later a Prussian shako was substituted for the cloth cap, and red shoulder straps were added to the tunic. All three Battalions wore the same dress.

This regiment was re-titled No. 23, Zweites Oberschlesisches Infanterie-Regiment in March of 1815.



Zwolftes Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment



The entire regiment was dressed in grey uniforms without shoulder straps, and a grey cap with a grey band. Black cross belts. After July 1813, re patches were affixed to the collars and the Prussian shako, with black waxed covers were issued in lieue of the Schirmutze.

This regiment was re-titled No. 24, Viertes Brandenburgisches Infanterie-Regiment in March of 1815.
