By August of 1813, the following artillery units were on the muster of the field army. They are noted below, together with the Brigade of which they were part.
The Guard Artillery consisted of the 4th 6 pdr. Foot Battery and the 4th 6 pdr. Horse Battery.
The following units were Landwehr batteries: 13th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 26th, and 27th 6 pdr. Foot Batteries and the 12th 6 pdr. Horse Battery.
It has been estimated that in 1806, the Prussian Army had at its disposal, some 4,614 artillery pieces of all types. By 1808, there were only 149 cannon serviceable for field operations within the Kingdom. By the end of 1812, a total of 1,659 pieces were available to the Prussian gunners __ 1,087 cannon, 200 howitzers and 372 mortars, ranging in calibre from a small 1/a pdr. cannon up to 140 pdr. mortar.

Generally speaking, the Prussian field pieces were mounted on a box trail carriage; all gun carriges, limbers, wagons and other wheeled thransport were traditionally painted mid-blue.
